Elana Jovero: Elana Jovero is a Jeweler, Metalsmith and Wood Carver from San Francisco, California. In her last year at the University of the Arts, Elana has found a passion for carving natural forms. She is heavily inspired by nature, as well as the thoughts and ideas people all over the world have towards death and memorial. Her interest lies with preserving nature and life from death, while adding an element of danger—accomplished by portraying the work as potentially lethal. She seeks to preserve the natural, ephemeral and transient beauty of our world in her jewelry, allowing the wearer to keep a memorial of something they hold dear even after it is gone.
